Washington D.C.

We just got back from a fun trip to Philadelphia and Washinton D.C. While we were in Philadelphia we went out to Lancaster to the Amish Country. I was amazed that people still live like that today. It was a fun little town.

We took a little horse and buggy ride out in the country to see how the Amish live! I learned so much about them and was glad that we did this!

We also went to a Red Sox game against the Philadelphia Phillies while we were there!

There was a rain delay during that game but luckily after an hour they came back out and finished the game! We were so happy that it didn't get rained out!

While were in Philadelphia we went and saw the Liberty Bell.

Here we are in front of Independence Hall!

There is so much to see and do in Washington D.C. We started off the day by going to Mt. Vernon!

This was the view from the back of Geore Washington's house

During our trip we stopped off and visited some of the Law school's in Philadelphia and D.C. This one is George Town. I loved the building it was so Pretty!

This is Arlington National Cemetary! This probably was one of my favorite places we went! I was amazed at how precise the headstones are. They are perfectly straight.

This is the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. We were able to see the changing of the Guard. It was a neat experience.

We took a tour of the Capitol while we in D.C.

Here is the Library of Congress!

The Washinton Monument is so Tall!

World War II Monument

The Korean War Monument was pretty Cool

The Lincoln Memorial was one of my Favorite's
Jeff's favorite was the Thomas Jefferson Memorial

I was looking forward to seeing the White House and this is how close we were able to get but still it was so cool! I learned lots while on this trip and am grateful for the opportunity we had to go!

There really is so much to see and learn about. Thanks for commenting on my blog! We should do something soon--even just Jeff, you, Nate & I! That would be fun! We need more couples to hang out with!

How fun! You were totally over her on my side of the country! I LOVE amish country and LOVE DC - still haven't done PA (which is silly since it is only 1.5 hours from me). Hope we run into each other the next time you are out here (remember NYC canal street? ha ha)
