I woke up Sunday morning with a really bad stomach ache. I thought that maybe I was getting sick. Jeff took Hudson to church and I kept trying to find anyway to make my stomach feel better. Even if I laid down it was so painful. I had never really had a stomach ache that hurt this bad before. I started googling all the pain I was having and it kept bringing up my appendix. I had every symptom of appendicitis. I so badly didn't want this to be what was wrong with me. I hate going to the hospital and just wanted to stay home. After about another half hour the pain was just getting worse and worse so I called Jeff at church and told him to come home. Once he got home I decided we better go to the hospital cause I was in so much pain. I called my friend Chelsea and asked if she could come home from church early so she could watch Hudson. They hurried home and off we went to the hospital. By this point I was dying of pain and just wanted to figure out what was wrong. They ran lots of tests and it came back that I did have appendicitis and had to have surgery right away. I was grateful that Jeff was there to keep me calm.
I am so grateful for our friends Cody and Chelsea who took such good care of Hudson. I was so worried about leaving him but he had so much fun with them and their twins. He really loves being around Chelsea and even let her rock him to sleep which was so nice that she would even do that. I am so lucky to have such amazing friends out here. It was my first night away from Hudson so Jeff stayed at the hospital as long as he could and then went home to be with Hudson that night.

I seriously have the best mom ever! As soon as she knew that I was going in for surgery she hopped on the next plane and was in Omaha that night! She was so helpful the whole time she was here. Who knew recovery from appendicitis would be so hard. I think it was a lot worse then having a c-section. I was so sore! I was so grateful she could come help out for a few days!
Hudson was such a good little boy that week and knew how to bring a smile to my face. We cuddled and watched lots of "Cars" I think I probably have that movie memorized now. But it made him happy so its ok.
Hudson had Grammy on the go non stop while she was here. They went on walks, down to see the trains, read books, watched movies, went to the park, made homemade bread and so much more! He sure missed his grammy when she left!
My mom even gave me a pedicure while she was here! It was nice to have time with my mom all by myself I just wish we could have done more fun things. It was still fun to talk with her and have her here with me.
I am finally starting to feel better and Jeff has been so much help. He took a few days off work to take care of us after my mom left. It was so nice to have him home all day for a few days. I also have the greatest friends who played with Hudson, made us dinner, sent cards and packages in the mail, and who called and sent text messages to check up on us. I couldn't believe how many people who cared so much. I seriously live by the greatest people and have such wonderful friends and family!
